Family Tree

The content of this project was decided by chance operations: choosing themes of packaging, information design, and genealogy out of a hat. From this, I decided to represent people in my family as fruits growing on trees. Each person became a package that hung from a tree and connected to a bigger system. Each person lives their own individual life, but they are connected to the stories of others. The package shape was influenced by information graphics; each folded shape opens up to reveal information about the person. The pattern on the outside of the form was done with letterpress printing.
