About Me

Hello and welcome! I'm Karin and I am currently a senior at the Rhode Island School of Design. I am German-Japanese though I have lived much of my life in the U.S. and in the Netherlands. Design and travel are two of my passions and from the places I’ve visited, I'm inspired to learn more about different cultures, international relations, and design ideas. Currently I am working on my degree project, which centers around the theme of home searching. I'm interested in learning what home means to different people and have been collecting thoughts online at homesearching.karinkunori.com

Now in my final semester of college, I feel both excited and nervous about the coming months. Certainly a lot of work and thinking lies ahead! When I do have some time though, I enjoy sketching in notebooks, cooking, photography, running, and taking walks in quiet countrysides. This website houses some of my work and journal entries.
